Welcome to Hitsburg USA!
Photo: Anne Streng Known informally as The Fleshtones Hall of Fame, here is your virtual home for The Fleshtones, the four most exciting men in rock & roll. Since the summer of 1976 The Fleshtones have been blending rock & roll with R&B, and garage with dance and serving it from town to town across the globe with a smile, a great attitude, and lots of late-night sweat. For years, they've simply called it Super Rock.

The Fleshtones are Peter Zaremba (vocals, harmonica, & organ), Keith Streng (guitar & vocals), Bill Milhizer (drums & vocals), and Ken Fox (bass & vocals). Based in Brooklyn, New York, the quartet's origins lie just a few miles north in Queens, where in 1975 Streng and original bass player Marek Pakulski rented "The House," as it was infamously known, and found instruments down in the basement. To quote Keith: "How and why The Fleshtones started was that there was a place to do it!" Countless "Blue Whale Bashes," Lower East Side sightings, and an endless string of gigs and records later, The Fleshtones continue to record and perform with a wit, passion, and energy that few bands can top.

Remember, The Fleshtones can't change their luck, but they can change your mind! Come on in, and let's have a good time!

Hexbreaker to be released on CD  28 July 2010
The good people at Raven Records in Australia are at it again. Look out over coming months for a 2-for-1 CD featuring Hexbreaker and Speed Connection Live in Paris 85. Dare one hope that "Roman Gods" will receive the digital beer mat treatment in 2011? Stay tuned.

My apologies for the long absence. It's just that this Busybuddy has been -well, very busy: amidst the flurry of activity was playing (briefly!) the 30th anniversary celebrations for DC's 9:30 Club (May 31) a venue that played such a mighty part in the story of The Fleshtones...more

The Fleshtones at Riverfest 2010  29 June 2010
Peter and Ken at Riverfest, Beacon NY, June 2010 A big thank you to David Rocco for sending along a set of action shots that he took at Beacon Riverfest, Beacon, NY on Saturday 26 June 2010. Twelve of the best can be seen in the Gallery section of the website. The crowd looks both suprised and amused as the 'Tones really let it rip. One wonders how many "just happened to be there" punters were knocked out by their exposure to Super Rock. The expression on the face of the female photographer at the front of the stage perhaps says it all: "Isn't this fun!"
